چکیده
Inundation shifts plant growth, species diversity and ecosystem stability, but it remains unclear how inundation depth shapes the phenotypic variability of clonal plants in an estuary wetland. To reveal response populations to depth, we calculated variation Phragmites australis using shoot height, leaf length, width, biomass panicle length Liaohe Reproductive allocation was defined by ratio height. Linear regression showed that were negatively correlated with while height (p < 0.0001). Based on data regarding statistical differences traits among P. australis, recognized had generated differentiation. Compared other functional traits, coefficient leaf-related at a high level. Therefore, parameters would be most suitable, they increased area weight support action during floods. Multivariate analysis suggested wetland divided into two clusters, consistent geographical distance morphological similarity. Our results provide novel perspective ecological strategy cloned under change offer theories for conservation restoration estuarine ecosystems.

Soil As Levels and Bioaccumulation in Suaeda salsa and Phragmites australis Wetlands of the Yellow River Estuary, China
Little information is available on As contamination dynamics in the soil-plant systems of wetlands. Total arsenic (As) in soil and plant samples from Suaeda salsa and Phragmites australis wetlands was measured in the Yellow River Estuary (YRE) in summer and autumn of 2007 to investigate the seasonal changes in As concentrations in different wetlands. The results showed that soil As levels great...
متن کاملSimulation of the Effect of Artificial Water Transfer on Carbon Stock of Phragmites australis in the Baiyangdian Wetland, China
How to explain the effect of seasonal water transfer on the carbon stocks of Baiyangdian wetland is studied. The ecological model of the relationship between the carbon stocks and water depth fluctuation of the reed was established by using STELLA software. For the first time the Michaelis-Menten equation (1) introduced the relation function between the water depth and reed environmental carryi...
متن کاملThe Role of Phragmites australis in Mediating Inland Salt Marsh Migration in a Mid-Atlantic Estuary
Many sea level rise adaptation plans emphasize the protection of adjacent uplands to allow for inland salt marsh migration, but little empirical information exists on this process. Using aerial photos from 1930 and 2006 of Delaware Estuary coastal habitats in New Jersey, I documented the rate of coastal forest retreat and the rate of inland salt marsh migration across 101.1 km of undeveloped sa...

The invasive species Spartina alterniora Loisel was introduced to the eastern coast of China in the 1970s and 1980s for the purposes of land reclamation and the prevention of soil erosion. The resulting interspecific competition had an important influence on the distribution of native vegetation, which makes studying the patterns and mechanisms of the interactions between Spartina alterniora Lo...
